Ok here’s the deal my chevy truck got T-Boned a few months ago and im looking to buy another truck. Year around 2004-2008 and I was wondering which one I should get. I do alot of yard work and Debee removal so i need a truck that’s good at pulling, I have a medium sized tractor i pull around from time to time and im fixing to buy a 6x12x6 dump trailer and everyone has been telling me that dodge cant pull a trailer that big and ive always wanted a crew cab 4×4 dodge. But what im really here is for your opinion what do you recommend and why.

p.s i dont want a dully truck

    1. When you see the presidents motorcade they’re all Cadillac and Chevy (GM), or the U.S. military vehicles they’re Hummer’s (GM), why do you think they made those choices? General Motors is the MOST dependable. The 2008 Chevy Siverado 1500 4×4 has the more towing capacity than any other in its class and a better fuel economy than ford or dodge! Not to mention GM trucks have better warranties too.

      Maximum Towing:
      2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 crew 4wd 5.3L = 10500 lbs
      2008 GMC Sierra 1500 crew 4wd 5.3L = 10200 lbs
      2008 Ford F150 crew 4wd 5.4L = 9200 lbs
      2008 Dodge RAM 1500 crew 4wd 5.7L= 7400 lbs

      Gas mileage:
      2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 crew 4wd 5.3L = 14 and 19 mpg
      2008 GMC Sierra 1500 crew 4wd 5.3L = 14 and 19 mpg
      2008 Ford F150 crew 4wd 5.4L = 13 and 17 mpg
      2008 Dodge RAM 1500 crew 4wd 5.7L= 14 and 18 mpg

I can go on and on! Go ahead look it up yourself Chevy and GMC have better specs than any other truck.

You should CLEARLY get a Chevy Silverado or a GMC Sierra 1500!

    2. well, are you looking at a superduty or a half ton?

in a half ton, truck trend just ranked chevy #1, but only with their biggest motor, then ford, gmc, dodge, toyota and nissan, in that order. the biggest motor was the 6.2L chevy, other than that motor, the ford was easily their favorite.

however, in a superduty, (3/4 or 1 ton) truck, the cummins is tough to beat and will tow whatever trailer you want.

    3. Chevy Silverado wins the most awards and always wins in comparison tests done by motorweek and edmunds so I would go with that.
I have also driven all the Ford, Chevy, and Dodge Pick up trucks and I agree with the magazines and and automotive journalists that the Silverado is the nicest truck with the best mix of everything.

    4. A Dodge with a Cummins is hands-down the best pulling truck.

      <<<<And I’m a Chevy girl.
